Directions. Follow our simple
directions to get to Overtoun house from Glasgow
or Dumbarton.

|
|
Parking. There are a limited number of parking
spaces available at the front of the house. There
is an overflow car park on the approach road on
the left-hand side.

The House. There is limited access to the
house while it is being renovated, but there are
plans to provide a coffee shop and bed and breakfast
accomodation inside in the future. |

|
Overtoun House Tea Room. Open on Saturdays
from 10am to 4pm selling tea and baked goods.
Initially this will be in the Angel Room until
the Tea Room is restored. |

|
Scenic Views. On a clear day you can see
the Clyde and beyond from Dumbarton Rock, Greenock,
Erskine Bridge, Bowling, Old Kilpatrick to Clydebank
|
|
|
Picnic Area. There are a number of picnic
benches infront of the house. Please take your
litter home with you.
|
|
|
Formal Gardens. Explore the Victorian gardens
surrounding the House. Sadly they are no longer
as splendid as they once were but even in their
current state you can still catch a glimpse of
their former glory.

|
|
Walks. Take a meander outside the gardens
and you will discover the Spairdie Linn waterfall
and lush woodlands. For the more adventourous
ramblers there are the nearby Crags and the Kilpatrick
Hills.

|
Wildlife. Overtoun House was briefly occupied
by the RSPB which is an indication of the diversity
of wildlife around the House if you look for it!
